Still on sale a year after launch, the 2025 Pixel Watch shares the Pixel Watch 5's case sizes, weights, dual-frequency GPS, satellite SOS and battery ratings. What it gives up is half the storage (32 GB) and a year of software updates: Google's support table lists October 2028, against October 2029 for the Pixel Watch 5. It launched on Wear OS 6, and Google advertises the same one-handed gestures for it. It costs less than the Pixel Watch 5's list price.

The ring’s outer track is the headline claim; the inner two are the always-on and GPS figures as a share of it. An empty track means Google does not publish that figure. Why the figures differ
A clearance says what a feature is allowed to claim, not that it replaces a doctor. Cleared versus wellness features
What the extra money buys: The cheapest Google everyday smartwatch here. 1 pricier sibling in the same line: Google Pixel Watch 5.
The two lists above are drawn from the maker’s own pages and prices, not from owner reports. Where owner discussion has been read it appears in its own section below, so the two are never mistaken for each other.
From what 57 owners of the Pixel Watch 4 reported between July and October 2026. Earlier generations are not counted.
Owners who are happy with the Pixel Watch 4 talk about battery, charging and updates: seven report around two days per charge, it recharges quickly, and Google has kept bringing Pixel Watch 5 features to it through updates, including At a Glance, the newer faces and complications, and touch-free gestures for notifications. One bought it open-box for $240 once the Watch 5 came out and is pleased with what they got for the money.
The complaints are about software and charging. About ten owners say battery life that was fine for months fell to a day or less after an update. Five describe the Google Health app as the weak link: workouts and sleep that fail to sync, GPS tracks with gaps or no map, and sleep scores that never appear. Five have problems with the charger, with errors telling them to dry the watch or realign it, and some describe slow warranty replacements or no repair option where they live, though one owner had a faulty screen swapped for a new watch in five days. Gemini on the watch works only some of the time for two owners, and two others find it slow after months of use.
It makes sense for Android owners who want a good-looking watch with Google's health tracking and can live with charging every couple of days. Runners who rely on GPS data and people buying LTE to leave the phone at home should read the complaints first, because those are features owners say don't work reliably.
Owners tie it to a recent system or sensor update. Five of them went from about two days to one, or lost a third of their charge overnight, and factory resets did not fix it for the two who tried. One owner says a full reset after the September update brought battery back to better than before, so it is worth trying once before contacting support.
Calls work for owners, but three cannot send or receive texts once the phone is off or far away, because messages still route through the phone. One owner got it working by keeping the phone from sleeping with a keep-awake app. Owners who wanted LTE as a backup for a lost phone found texting did not work.
Four owners report it, one after sweaty workouts and others when the watch was dry. For one it got worse over months until the watch would not charge at all, and they ended up with a warranty replacement. One owner found the error went away when they moved from a low-power charging port to a wall brick.
