About SmartwatchRanker
SmartwatchRanker lists 53 watches from 11 makers that are on sale new from those makers today, and puts the numbers a spec sheet scatters across three pages into one place.
Three battery figures, not one
The battery figure on the box is measured with the screen asleep between glances. Most makers also publish a second figure with the always-on display enabled and a third for a GPS workout, on a different page. Every watch here shows all three side by side. Where a maker publishes both of the first two, the always-on figure is a median 39% of the headline; for 23 watches with an OLED or AMOLED screen the maker gives no always-on figure at all, and the page says so.
The parts the price does not include
A watch also decides which phone you can own and what you pay each year. So each page states which phones the watch works with and what goes missing on the other one, what the maker’s paid tier costs and what it unlocks (41 watches here have one), and how many years of software updates the maker promises, which only 4 publish.
A blank is an answer
Every figure comes from the maker’s own US product, spec, battery or support pages, and every watch page links to them, 221 sources across the catalog. Health clearances cite the maker or the FDA’s own database. Where a maker does not publish a number for that exact model, the cell stays empty rather than borrowing a sibling’s figure, which is why 116 cells are blank today.
Who is behind it, and who is not
Two people build and maintain this in their own time. There is no office, no editorial staff and no test lab, and nothing here was measured by us. No maker pays for a place in the catalog, a position in a list or a word on its page, and the site carries no shop links. What the site collects is one analytics tag and one browser key holding your filters.
Owner experience, kept separate
Some things only show up after months on the wrist: a battery that fades, a strap that irritates, an update that breaks pairing. Where owner discussion of a specific model and generation was read, it sits in its own section under its own heading, never blended into the specification copy, and an owner report about last year’s model is not filed under this year’s. Coverage is 33 of 53; the other pages say so rather than showing an empty block.
How often this changes
The catalog was last refreshed on 2026-10-06, and that date drives the sitemap. Watch ranges turn over every autumn, so each refresh re-checks that every model is still sold new on its maker’s US store and drops or replaces the ones that are not.
Corrections
A figure a maker publishes that this site missed, a watch missing from the catalog, a price that has moved: all of it is welcome. Send a correction, or write to contact@smartwatchranker.com.
