From what 27 owners of the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro reported between July and September 2026. Earlier generations are not counted.
Owners who switched from Garmin or Apple describe the T-Rex 3 Pro as a lot of watch for the money. Battery life draws compliments, trail and open-water GPS tracking has been reliable for owners who checked it, and phone calls and voice replies from the wrist work. One owner says sleep tracking matches what his partner sees, and another found the red flashlight handy for night feeds with a newborn.
The bigger worry is water. Several owners describe watches that died, drained or lost buttons after swimming, despite the 10 ATM rating, and getting them fixed has been a struggle for some, especially when the watch was bought in another country. Owners disagree on the software: one finds it fluid and the app nicer than Garmin Connect, another finds it choppy, and others want smart wake-up, better music handling and clearer setup instructions. Strength training tracking and some post-update bugs also draw complaints.
It is the right call for hikers and outdoor users who want maps, a flashlight and long battery life without paying Garmin prices. If you swim often, or rely on fast local warranty support, the water reports are the main thing to weigh.
