Amazfit Balance Ultra

Android; iPhone with limitsPaid tier: Zepp Aura

At the top of the Balance line, the Ultra swaps Balance 3's stainless frame for grade 5 titanium and adds a fifth button and a 780 mAh battery. Amazfit rates it at 30 days of typical use and 50 hours of dual-band GPS, against 21 days and 41 hours for Balance 3. Screen, sensors, maps and 64GB storage are the same as Balance 3, and two straps come in the box.

The ring’s outer track is the headline claim; the inner two are the always-on and GPS figures as a share of it. An empty track means Amazfit does not publish that figure. Why the figures differ

Cleared health features

Amazfit cites no regulator clearance for a health feature on this model. Its heart-rate, sleep and blood-oxygen readings are wellness features.

A clearance says what a feature is allowed to claim, not that it replaces a doctor. Cleared versus wellness features

What the extra money buys: Against the Amazfit Bip 6, the extra ~$520 buys dual-band GPS, full topo maps, a flashlight, 18 h more GPS time and a longer headline battery (30 days vs 14 days). See the Amazfit Bip 6.

The two lists above are drawn from the maker’s own pages and prices, not from owner reports. Where owner discussion has been read it appears in its own section below, so the two are never mistaken for each other.

What owners say

From what 5 owners of the Amazfit Balance Ultra reported between July and August 2026. Earlier generations are not counted.

Very few owners have posted about the Balance Ultra yet, so this is a handful of people, early adopters coming from Balance 2 or Balance 3. The owner who compared it directly with Balance 3 liked the Ultra more than they expected: it sat better on the wrist, the crown stopped digging in, and the titanium looked less flashy.

The complaints are specific rather than general. One owner saw a weaker GPS track in forest, another says treadmill pace runs backwards as speed goes up, and a third has a cadence assistant that never makes a sound, on two separate watches. A torn strap within a month and buttons that lock along with the screen round it out.

It makes sense for someone who already likes the Balance line and wants the longest battery and a titanium case. Anyone who runs mostly in woods or does treadmill speed work should check how those two hold up before relying on it, since those are the areas owners have flagged.

What owners like

  • One owner who went from Balance 3 to the Ultra finds it more comfortable, and the crown that pressed into their wrist bone on Balance 3 no longer does, which they put down to the slightly taller profile
  • The same owner says the barometric altimeter read correctly on their first run after giving them trouble on Balance 3, and prefers the duller titanium finish to Balance 3's shine
  • When one owner's cadence assistant gave vibration but no sound, support sent a brand-new watch rather than leaving them to troubleshoot

Common complaints

  • GPS can wander under tree cover: one owner got a worse track than from Balance 3 and other watches on a forest run, and suspects the all-titanium case limits reception to the front glass
  • One owner who tested it before launch says treadmill pace gets slower as the belt gets faster, so speed and interval sessions read wrong, and finds nap detection far too eager
  • The audio cadence assistant only vibrates for one owner, and the replacement watch support sent did exactly the same
  • Small hardware gripes: one owner finds the crown press mushy next to their Balance 2, and another's strap tore in under a month with no replacement strap they could find
  • One new owner found that locking the screen locks the buttons too, with no obvious way to keep them active

Questions owners ask about the Amazfit Balance Ultra

Is the Balance Ultra more comfortable than Balance 3?

One owner who wore both says yes. They expected the opposite, but found the Ultra sat better and its crown no longer pressed into the wrist bone the way Balance 3's did.

Can I get a replacement strap for the Balance Ultra?

One owner whose strap tore in under a month could not find a replacement for the Ultra's strap design online and asked about warranty cover instead. Check what is available before buying if you are hard on straps.
