From what 19 owners of the Amazfit Balance 3 reported between July and August 2026. Earlier generations are not counted.
The Balance 3 owners here include people trading up from an earlier Balance or switching from Garmin, Apple, Samsung, Suunto or Polar. Battery life is the first thing they mention, followed by how premium it looks and feels. Owners who left Garmin say the move did not feel like a downgrade, and one finds its sleep tracking noticeably more accurate than their old Instinct 2X.
Size is the main argument against it. At 51.4 mm the crown can press into the wrist bone, which sent one owner's watch back, and others notice the extra weight compared with earlier Balance models. Smaller software issues come up too: stand tracking that thinks you never sit, a step counter that skipped its midnight reset, heart-rate peaks left out of the daily summary, and a sleep record made with nobody wearing it.
It is cut out for someone with a medium or large wrist who wants a watch that looks at home with a suit, lasts days between charges and still handles gym and running sessions. Anyone with a slim wrist should try one on first, and owners wanting a screen protector should expect some trial and error with the curved glass.
